The Cameron Institute welcomes this opportunity to participate in the United Nation’s public consultation on new and innovative sources of funding to stimulate research and development, with specific reference to pharmaceuticals focusing on diseases that disproportionately affect developing countries.
More information on the consultation process and the issue of ‘public health, innovation and intellectual property’, can be found on the World Health Organization site.
The proposals will be reviewed by members of the Expert Working Group, and will be further discussed at the second meeting of the Group in June 2009.
